Immerse yourself in the joy of weaving with a class perfect for beginners. Join instructor Laura Wasserman to learn foundational skills for weaving on a small frame loom and practice the art of intuitive weaving. Working freely without a design in mind, intuitive weaving builds trust for your instincts as an artist while inhabiting a meditative space to heal and process personal experiences. Students will learn to warp a loom, practice plain tabby weave, and complete their first piece. Discussion covers basic weaving terms, local fiber resources, and opportunities for repurposing found or upcycled materials in your work. A portable frame loom and all materials are included in the class fee.
